Gardeners' Calendar. APRIL. Kitchen Garden. — Lot tho vacant ground bo prepared for planting, by digging up and woll manuring. Sow lettuco, onions, broad ? beans, radishes, mustard, and cross, &c. Earth up celery, choosing a dry day for tho work. Beds for cabbage, cauliflowers, &c., should bo got ready. The best heads of cabbago should be seloctcd and planted out for seed. Asparagus beds will require looking to, by removing decayed stems, and kooping down all weeds. Th'in out to suit able distances carrots, turnips, &c. Potatoes wm neea earimng up. Fiower Garden. — Attond principally to the planting of bulbs, arranging them in beds according to taste, avoiding overcrowding. Towards the end of tho month the propaga tion of tho majority of flowering trees and shrubs may be profitably effected by cut tings, slips, and by offshoots or divisions of the root. Ponniston, a youth about 16, was sum moned by constablo Morris, for having mado use of obscono language in a public placo at Torrara, on the 29th ultimo.
