Health twi- cer at Port Douglas. These cases occurred, in ¡tho ilossin'an district, a sugar-growing ^locality some lu miles from-l'ort- Douglas, a new .district not previously infected. All the suff- erers were, cane-cutters, -established in i camps - distant 6 to 7. miles or. more from the Mossman - sugar-inill. The epidemic was characterised by Slight glandular enlargements in thc groins,- arm-pits, and neck, raised 'temperature,* slow and low tension pulse, headache, furred tongup, slight I congestion of the eyes, and some dpli I rium. The symptoms lasted four, or 'five days, and the patients then re- covered. " In but few cases -were dis tinctfor definite" buboes noticed, and there was little glandular, tenderness or periademtis.
