The Shopping Arena. j THE XMAS DISPLAY. SO MIS COMMENTS The adveut of Christmas is pro- | claimed by the most attractive dis plays in the shop windows. All tastes and all purses are catered for. Toys aud mechanical contrivances for the young folk appear to be moie nu merous than ever. There is no limit to humau ingenuity in this departmeut, as in others and indul gent parents have a wide selection to gladden the heartb of the children. Xtnas gifts of all kinds are shown in great profusion, while requisites for holiday makers have received every attention. In millinery and seasonable goods, the attractiveness of the various displays baffles des cription. In some cases windows are specially devoted to Xtnas delicacies and dainties, for which there will no doubt be a big demand. Altogether the enterprise of the tradespeople in sto...
