Burglary at Tweed Heads. TuMXiHAMS from Murwilluinbah state that during Saturday , night last a daring burglary was committed 011 Mr. James Brand's premises, at Tweed Heads. On entering the store on Sunday morning he found that a safe contaiuing about £70 in cash and £30 in cheques, and his business books, besides valuable papers, had disappear ed. It was afterwards elicited that the thieves had forced an entrance through the back .door, the lock of which had been picked. An alarm was speedily given, and Constable Craddock and a large number of civil ians made a thorough search in the bush and river, but without success. It was found that a sledge hammer and other implements had been taken from Warick's blacksmith shop, and also that on Friday he had given a job at striking to one of two men who liad been hanging nbout the Tweed Heads.
