Auditing Committee appointed by the j . i I re to luvestitrate auu pass upon tue claims against the State for military purposes, has performed a large amount of labor and with advantage to the public interests. It appears from the papers on file that a contract waa let to P. Simon k Sos, of Cincinnati, for one thousand suits of grey cassimere at $tf 75 each, amounting to $8,750. WEEKLY SENTINEL. W KD1 CS DAY .OF.rF.nBEH 1 I wanripation. Tbc Chicaeo 7W says AboKtionism will have it that Democrats and other conservative people object to the emaucipation of the four millions of negro slaves out of consideration for the rebel owners. No misrepresentation could be man atrocious. Democrat" object to emancipation out of consideration first, for the loyal white people of the whole country; ami, second, for the negro slaves themselves. If nobodj but rebels were concerned, the Abolitionists might emancipate the negroes and welcome, so far as Democrats would care. But the future of the North as well as the South, and the future of the white race on this continent, are concerned in emancipation. The rebellion is only a question of to-day. It can be put down. Emancipation is a question for all time. The deed once done, it can not be undone. The South once converted into a St. Domingo, it mut remain so until a war of races shall exterminate the blacks. How It! The sutler...

VU This action will receive the hearty concurrence uro Tkt Eaaaarlpatton Scheme. We call attention to an article, which will be 1 und vise here, from the Louisville Journal, commenting upon the message of the President. The Journal has stood firmly bj the Government in the prosecution of the war for the restoration of the Union, and for that reason its comments will have additional force. As will be seen, that paper takes decided ground against allowing the war to be diverted from the avowed purpose for which it was instituted or in any wise permitting it to become a crusade against the domestic in stitutioBS of the Southern States.
