The elite of New York s society are out for a season of sensational dances . At a musical tea the other afternoon a little Fillipino girl introduced several shocks and a few shivers by dancing in a costume almost exclusively constituted of a pair of brown velvet trunks and two strings of beads . Kitty Gordon—and her press agentis helping Oh , You Beautiful Doll , with a scheme devised to get money for New York s poor children at Christmas time—and some publicity for The Enchantress . A doll , in perfect miniature of Miss Gordon , is to be awarded on a lucky number , at two-bits per number . Lillian Russell , the eternally young and beautiful , had a birthday party at her apar...

AFRAID OF CONFUSION [Newspaper Article] — Player — 8 December 1911

AFRAID OF CONFUSION ST LOUIS , MO ., Dec 4 . —Members of Lodge No . 5 , T . M . A ., of this city , complain that some confusion has resulted from the announcement that E . E . Campbell has fitted up clubrooms to be known as headquarters for members of the W . R . A . U .. the A . A A , and the T . M . A , who reside permanently in this city or visit here . Members of the T . M . A . Local think that it may not be thoroughly understood that comfortable and commodious quarters are officially maintained at No . 16 South Sixth street , and that Mr . Campbell s announcement is intended merely to set forth his friendly feeling for theatrical people whose patronage he hopes to secure .

GOLDEN OPINIONS [Newspaper Article] — Player — 8 December 1911

GOLDEN OPINIONS By GEO . FULLER GOLDEN A Disquisition on The Art of Being Different Fortunate indeed is that man to whom the high gods have given the courage to be different from the common horde . I mean different with respect to moral courage . Here is a gift of Heaven which is as rare as it is commendable . In fact , this one element does more toward creating high character in a human being than all the other attributes in the make-up of man . It has even seemed to me that possibly when a mortal is about to take up his earthly pilgrimage of life , he is equipped with certain characteristics—maybe he chooses them—which eventually make him what he is , and if he has this one , of moral courage , regardless of what the others may be , he is fairly sure of landing eventually in a place of esteem among his fellows of earth . What is moral courage ? It is daring to be your real self ! Take , for instance when you see a crowd of fellows imposing on some poor 6006 , putting him through a...

In less than a week death claimed a member of the family of every property man in No . 151 . After wasting some twenty minutes trying to get it on the track they started to carry the stuff to the wagons . When the transfer company got the first load to the house it was 7 : 45 , and the boys pitched in , and by 8 : 45 the stage was ready for Act 1 . WASHINGTON , D .
