This salt nnd llmo mixture, when applied at tho rate of twenty or thirty bushels to tho acre, forms an excellent top dressing for many crops. It nets power fully on tho vegetable, matter of soils? fifty- six bushels npplled to turnips hns produced ns largo a crop as barnyard manure. It Is destructive to grubs and insects in the soil. Like salt it attracts moisture, from the air and Is useful ngalnst drought.
