School Board Proceedings, Franklinton, La., Oct. 6, 1911. The Parish Board of Directors of Washington Parish, met in regular session this date with quorum present. President J. W. Carter being absent, I. J. Green was elected President pro temrn. The minutes of the previous meet ing were read and adopted. S. S. Thomas and Marcus Dun- S can were before the Board to ask for appropriation from the funds D of the Thomas School. On motion Li of M. N. Miller, duly seconded and carried,$400 was appropriated with $212 available at once and the balance available after March 1, 1912. The condition for the above appropriation is that a title to land upon whichthe school is built must be vested in the Parish Board of Directors. A petition from the Crains Creek asking for a supplement of $12.50 F on teacher's salary,was presented. On account of this being contrary to a previous resolution in regard to teachers' salary the Board was unable to grant it. On motion, duly seconded and L carried, the P...
