The spirit of discord broke out in their State Convention, involving the Governor and Post-master LowelUin.a savage personal con troversy, and the same fell in fluence appears to be extending throughout the State. In the first Congressional dis trict the nomination of Gen. Sy pher for Congress seems to have greatly offended the Republicans of the Tribune stripe, and the Tribune comes down on the Gene ral unmercifully, notwithstanding . his nomination. 'In the fourth district Gen. Mc * Cleery has been brought out and nominated by one portion of the Republican party; while another poitioiou repudiates his nomination and has called a convention to meet at Natchitoohes to nominate a candidatemore decidedly colored in his proclivities.
