The Modocs. & iloanatch from tho Lava Beds of the 14th inst. lays three hundred and seventy-five soldiers and Warm Spring Indians are scouring the Lava tteds and surrounding country. The total number of troops in the field is twenty officers and four hun dred and eighty men. Since Gen. Davis assumed com mandoftho Modoo Expedition in person some ten days ago, but one conflict has occurred, the movoment of which this last affair was a feature is still progressing, and eovftral bod ies of troops are now huuting an en gagement.
