The new Council met at the Mayor's office on Monday, the 2nd inst., and the members weie sworn in, including the new members, Messrs. W. W. James and Z. b. l'ursoii, and the new Recorder, Mr. M. T. Devault. The board then proceed to elect a Sergeant, nnd. on the first ballot, Mr. John B. Keller was elected. On Tuesday evening, the 3rd, the regular meeting of the Council was held, when Mr. Keller presented his bond, which was accepted, and he was sworn into office. Messrs.
