WE COMMEND THE HORDY GUKDY. —Lat« 011 election night. we were inadvertently led to listen quietly to the cursing, l>y a stereotyped and imitative growler, of n liaud-urgun which some strong-wristed i Italian was grinding, down in front of our office. We made a sort of involuntary acquieseucc in the said cursing, but yesterday morning, after seeing the keen enjoyment had by a crowd of about fifty children, more or less, over the efforts ot an organ crank-turner, we made mental retraction of our former careless self-ex-perienced opinion, and took ourselt out o:ie side and permitted the conviction to enlarge and take root upon our mind that the htirdy-srurdy was to be tolerated and admired, because innocent young tastes were harmlessly gratified thereby. If they please the children, let organ-grind-ers be privileged to make machine music just whenever and wherever they please. Ax IMPROVEMENT I'PON THE OI.K STM.E.
