Howard Payne had Its breath-taker Monday night when the Jackets beat both Trinity's Tigers and Father Time 47-46. After trailing 33 minutes of play as u result of the inspired Tiger quintet HPC finally took a 37-36 upper hand with Slim Warren's free shots in the fading minutes. Turk Hargrove sunk a set toss to Increase the lead but the Tigers came roar- ing back to tally three straight field goals and lead by three points. The ovcitime tilt required an extra period as the two teams deadlocked 08-08 at the end of the regular forty minutes. There was no fluke about the vic- tory.
