Buckclew, 51, of 3122 Nottingham who perished in a fire which de- stroyed her g a r a g e apartment about 10:40 p.m. last Friday. Mrs. Buckclew was found burned to death in her bed by firemen who entered the blazing apartment which she occupied alono. The fire- men theorized that Mrs. Buckclew had been overcome by the intense id smoke inside the apart- ii able According to Assistant Fire Chief Claude Reynolds, the fire appar- ently started in an overstuffed chair in the center of the room. Neighbor Discovers Fire The blaze was discovered by Mrs. A. Henderson of 3121 Sunset whose back yard adjoins the apartment. Mr. Williams had been employed by the Gulf Oil Production Com- pany for the past 37 years and had been a resident of the Hous- ton area for the past nine years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clyde B. Williams; two daughters, Mrs. Una Magee of the Houston area and Mrs. C. O Mullinax of Kermit, Texas; a sis- ter.
