Severoly aa the effects of th* long-protracted drought havo boen felt throughout Southern Australia, it is gravely to be feared that very much worse results will have to bo faced unless there be a speedy and completo change in the weather conditions. A dismal crisis is ap proaching, and only a widespread and bountiful and sustained <losvn -pour of rain within the next throe or four weeks can assuage the suc tion. The drought has existed ia Victoria, South Australia and River ina for more than a year. Hymeneal. HUF—HINNEBERG, The marriage took place at Curyo, on March 10, of Miss H. J. M. Hinneberg, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Hinneberg, Curyo, and Mr. A. B. Huf, fourth son of Mrs. Huf, of "Tartakeepa,"   Hopetoun. The Rev. Leake, of Rainbow, officiated. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white silk trimmed with silk ovorlace chiffon with pearl buttons, orange blossom, wreath and   veil, aud carried a bouquet of white roses and fern. The bridesmaids wore Miss M. Becker and Miss F. Forrester, who were neatly attired in pink and creme, both carried bouquets of fern and white flowers. Mr. E. J. Huf acted as best man and Mr. O. W. Hinneberg groomsman. The bridegroom's gift to bride was a gold bangle, bride to bridegroom gold mounted watch guard and bridegroom to bridesmaids gold brooches.
