The public meeting organised for the purpose of taking decisive action with the object of obtaining better arrange ments for the administration , of justice and miuitig business on (he field, aiid also pushing forward the question of a .separate water snpply for 'Went Wyalong, resumed its sitting on Monday evening last, at Kelly's (late Carvill's) Hotel. Mr. a.j. ivei ty was unanimously voted to the chair, and Mr. Ellis officiated as lion, secretary. -The meeting had been adjourned pending the replies of the Minister to certain questions on these matters which it suggested tu Mr. Loue-linane, M.P. that he should ask in -his place in the House. The paper is a staunch opponent of centrali sation as concerning Govern inent, inter ests, aud in its well-written leaders and editorial notes, certainly very smartly supports a strong case.
