MILK STRIKE Declared Off Following the Management Corn-' mittee meeting of the Milk Zone Dairymen's Council held in Sydney on Friday last,; the following resolu tion was sulbmitted to the State Cabinet. "That in view of the State Gov ernment's refusal to implement. the recommendations, made by the Milk Board, which were to take effect as from 3rd October, this organisation has, in conjunction with the P.P.U. directed its imembers to cease the supply of milk to the Board as from the A.M. milking on Wednesday, 15th October." There was no doubt as to the. de termination' of the milk producers to carry. out their threat to withhold' supplies from the Board following the failure of the implementation of the. Board's recommendation by the Government. Considering that the producers had not been made aware of the Bodard's actual finding it was appl)arent that the principle involved, the acceptance of the Milk Board's finding, became the most important issue.
