Maitland Show. [Newspaper Article] — The Muswellbrook Chronicle — 27 April 1898

Maitland Show. - On Monday ten head of Mr. R. T. j Keys's polled-angus cattle were trucked 'at the local yards for Maitland, where they will compete at-the Show which opens there to-day. Mr. Keys believes in helping neighbouring societies, and recognises that the several societies in the north—more particularly those at Maitland and Singleton—are firmly established. Instead of these societies working one against the other they should, he thinks, recognise that each would serve its own interests best by aiding the others. Mr. Keys, besides being an exhibitor, takes up the duly of a judge for the Hunter River Associa tion. Mr. H. J. Clarke has also been requested to act as a judge at the Show.
