We herewith publish the article, re ferred to last week in an editorial, to gether with another in reply to the ar guments therein set forth. Eds. Eis. News : In a former issue I notic ed jafe article headed "The Liquor Ques tion," apparautly written for moral pur poses. "With the same intention, I wish to state a few facts. I must differ with "W. J., yet I purpose to go a little deep er, for the prosperity of a State, county, city or town, cannot be ruiulo to depend upon the manner in. which liquor is sold, or whether it is sold at all or not ; yet he has drawn a woeful picture of a com munity which has a liquor saloon injits midst. At present, a man who wants a drink of whisky, buys a half pint, or iuor, bottles it up and starts, meets a friend, rails him into a dark corner, in !uces him to take a drink, and so it goes, until all is gone.
