Tho evidence was to tho effect that last Christmas day, throo colored men Bon Jimorson, Flem Wade and John Calloway, who wero going to a Christ? mas tree at Cave Spring, mot Jim and Qeorgo Simmons and J. II. Peters, not far from Peters' grocery on Back Crook, near Cavo Hill. Tbo first of the trou? ble arose by tho allegation on tho part of Ben Jimorson that a horse which I Peters rode, but which belonged to Geo-go Simmons, was blind. Tho crowd with a mutual exchange of oaths, proceeded to Peters' grocery, and here the quarrel was continued.
