A correspondent of the Chicago Journal gives the following account of the rascal's adventures : FRKEPORT, Illinois, January 27.—Some months ago there appeared a man of polite and '• taking " manners in a town of Southwestern Wisconsin, where he represented himself to be a returned Californian. named Ferguson, and was boastful of his riches and of his adventures.
