Page 4 dn 1L LIMELIGHT BY JOHN HOWELL Fifteen Eustcrn colleges have un- dergraduate radio stations. The first one to be organized was at Brown University in 1939. The college bioadcastlng uses a weak signal wired from dormitory to dormitory tind picked up on regular radio sets. Programs range from Interviews to dramatic programs. The outstanding feature of these programs is the fact that they are entertaining as well as educational. At a recent convention the Intercollegiate Broadcasting Sys- tem laid plans for a real network of college stations. A college radio station would be a benefit to any college.
