Three deputy sheriffs were sent out over the county Wednesday to sub- poena 200 talesmen for examination as Jurors in the John Heal Kneed murder trial. This action followed Judge Swayne's prediction that the first venire of 300 men would be exhaust- ed before the day was over without a complete jury. Only one additional juror was se- lected Wednesday from 33 men ex- amined. The last venireman examined was No. 13!. Three hundred were sum- moned originally but a great number were found either ineligible or ex- cused for other causes the first day no that the court did not regard the prospect of obtaining a Jury from those left sufficiently bright to war- rant continuing the session.
