Farewell to Mr. C. L. C. Badham, P.M. | Ox Tuesday last, Mr. Badliani. who ! has for some time past been (be resi dent, Police Magistrate at Wvalong, bade farewell from the IJejich to the legal profession, and the officers of the Court, as this was the last day that he would preside as Police Magistrate at Wyalong. Air. iiadhatn, hi a well choscn and kind speech, expressed his regret, for many reasons, at leaving the district. Since he had presided over the Court he said that he. had endeavoured to the best of his ability to do his duty, and that he had found iu the various districts over which, in the long course of his official career, he had been called upon to preside, that such a course gave satisfaction, not only to tne legal profession, but to the general public. Mr. Badham said that he would always watch the progress of Wvalong with much interest and that lie thought there was a fine future before this rising goldfiehl.
