MILDURA TRIP Expressing astonishment at the colossal amount of work done; and being done in the Shire of Mildura, which he visited re cently (a municipality of 4171: square miles), Cr. Carpenter (Shire president) said he realised now why Shires on the Peninsula should be. combined on some sort of reasonable ;basis, instead, of being cut up into "tin-pot" shows," as was the case at pre sent, with only one grader.
