BILIIARDS - INMAN AND GRAY. (By Telegraph.) BRISBANE, July 19. The billiard match between Mel bourne Inman anJ Harry Gray (10,000 up) was continued to-day. In the af ternoon Inman made breaks of 316, 104, and 77, passing the Queensland cham pion. Gray then showed up, compil ing runs of 50, 3S, 44, 34, 39, 67, 134 and 34. At the close of the session the scores stood— Gray, 7507 ; Inman, 7492. In the evening Inman scored breaks of 82, 71, 56, 127, 77. H9, 226, 116, 56, and 104 (unfinished), and Gray_ made runs of b.24, 89, and 97. At the close the scores were :— Inman, 8697 ; Gray (re ceives 4000), S038.

THE RIFLE A committee meeting of the Towns ville Rifle Club was held last night, when there were present :— Messrs Gill (chair), Murray, Blackwell, Miller, Barnett, and Mcllwalne (secretary). The chief business was the matter of deciding on conditions to rovcrn tl shoot for the trophy presenttd hy .ilr W. H. Green. Next Saturday being the Association shoot, the competition will :io: commence ti'l Saturday week, August 3. The first shoot' will be over the 200, 500, and ('0U yards. The sec ond shoot will be held on July 17, over the same ranges, and the final will take placa on August 31, the condi tions being 11 and 10 shots over the BOO and 600 yards. The better of the first two shoots will be added to the final and compulsory shoot The club give the following cash prizes to follow the trophy :— 12s Cd, 7s 6d, r,s, and 6s; also a prize of 10s for aggregate of all three shoots with handicap, and 10s for off-rifle aggregate for all three.
