THE CREDIT FONCIER IN VICTORIA. [Newspaper Article] — The Dubbo Liberal and Macquarie Advocate — 6 June 1894

TUB CREDIT FOSCIEIt IN VICTORIA_ SI'EAKINC oil tho proposal made by the Victorian Government to advance monoy to farmers and others, a Mel bourne paper says: As far as tho general features of tho Credit Jb'oncier system arc concerned, this claim is afc iuipudont falsehood. It must, how«vrer, bo admitted that tho AGE has imported a new featuro into this system, the authorship of which it can truthfully claim, and which, if once fully understood, will entirely destroy tho tottering influence of that paper. For this new feature is nothing loss than a deep-laid schomo to relievo tho banks and other mort gagees of their bad debts and saddle thcni on tho State. Mr. J. Some Curious Religious Sects. [Newspaper Article] — The Dubbo Liberal and Macquarie Advocate — 9 June 1894

Some Curious Eeligious Sects The religions census of Now South "Wales, the results of which have just been published, contains a curious item. Among1 the one and a quarter million inhabitants of the province there are 190 different creeds and sects. No less than 59 religions have only one supporter apiece, a solitary individual who expects to go to heaven all alone, whilst all the rest of the nation falls with a thud into perdition. A. striking feature hero is that in only six instances is the lonesome apostle ft woman, and ilie six women who hold up six deserted creeds all by themselves appoar to be mostly Scotch. Takiug them all round, the religionists of Now South Wales are a humorous gathering. There arc four " Calif, iiumpians " among them, and one sad and friend lass person who nuts himself down as aa " Admirer of Nature," one " Pessi mist," and three who record them selves as " Unprejudiced." There is one-only one-" Believer in Pacts," ar.d one " Brotherhood Of Man " individua...
