JERSEY'S BUTTER TOTAL. Consistent Production. The principal of the Hawkesbury Agricultural College . (Mr. E. A. Sou thee), New South Wales, supplies further particulars of the milk and butter yields of "Miss Gold of Rich mond.' She was milked twice daily throughout her lactation period, and had no special attention, she having been run with the herd daily. Miss Gold of Richmond's production for her last three lactation periods of 365 days was as follows:—1923-24, 10,127 lb. milk, 622.514 lb. fat, 750.01 lb. com mercial butter; 1924-26, 10,932,6 lb. milk, 641,605 lb. fat, 773,07 lb. butter; ! 1926, 14,395 lb. milk, '850,41 lb. fat, 1,024.69 lb. butter. She was milked twice daily in all her lactation periods. Miss Gold is the sixth cow in the col lege her of Jerseys to produce over 1,000 lb. of commercial butter in 365 days, and two of these have produced over 1,000 lb. of butter twice iu suc cessive lactation periods.
