SYDNEY. SATURDAY, September 25. Lestrange made a successful balloon ascent from Cook Park this afternoon. The weather was rather boisterous, but tbe balloon left the ground without any mishap, and sailed gracefully away in vtbe direction of the Hawkesbuty. It afterwards descended at West Maitland. Lestrange reached the ground safely, but the balloon was torn through catch-, ing among some trees. Accounts from Bermagin, in the Bega district, continue favorable, and seem to indicate that there iB a large extent of payable ground.
