Thomasas s been badly whipped at Frank lin, (Miss) by our troops under Gen. Cheatham. JudgQlg from the tenor of the extra, Sherm:.n's army is probably annihilated before this. A New Orleans Times of the 10th, which we have been allowed to peruse in haste, contains news which are not ether favorable to our cause. Itsays amongpther items, that Sherman's cavalry was, on the 4th inst., six miles from Sa vannah, and that the main body of his army was 40 miles in the rear, and was now probably at Savannah.
