Having fint appointed a disinterest-1 ed committee to decide in the premfeefs they commenced operations, but diecovt red in the first trial that the engine was out of order. On the second trial, throwing against a heavy wind, they threw water 217 feet. . This brilliant and widely esteemed young man, who died Thursday last, was buried yesterday 'evening in the presence of a large number of hie beartstricken friends.
