[?] l_: TOWN CLOOK. To the Editor. Sir,— It should be self-evident to our city fathers that the ratepayers are. much inconvenienced by the in operafcion of (he town clb'jk. If so, the qu'estioa arises, is there a way of remedying the matter ? I would sug gest that instead, of waiting to find out who is responsible to repair it i (and I understand the cash is very 'slight) the council should have the ! clock repaired immediately, and when it is decided who should pay for the repairs the council could send in an account' for the money paid by them ; on the other hand, if the council are responsible we are not inconvenienced further by being without the time. — j Yours etc., RATEPAYER.
