TIME. DO WOMEN WASTE IT. [Newspaper Article] — Mullumbimby Star — 25 April 1907

TIME. DO WOMEN WASTE IT. Rosalie Neish writes in 'M.A.P.': — ? Thd'Mvidow of one of our greatest church dignitaries has been lately airing her views 011 the lamentable way In which the glrls' of the present day wa^e their time. She tells^ us that: — 'Gossip about dress, too much shop ping, attendance at social functions that bore everybody, and the writing of un necessary letters form a great waste of time In the lives of most .women.' This Is surely a little too severe, and I think the present-day girl Is somewhat maligned. Never in any. period of our domestic history have women been more seriously Inclined, and never have they possessed more interesting hobbies. There may be a few whose minds ore wholly set on ?idleness and pleasure, but the average' girl of the present day has many inte rests, and wastes far less time than the maiden of the 'good old times' who is now surrounded by the softening halo of the past. 'Read or think while dressing,' said this lady during the course of...
