Tho social m aid of tho Church of England duly eventuated on Thursday night, 28th inst., und was from a social point of vievr most succcflsful, though financially it did not attain . such a successful issue us desired, owing to the inclemoncy of tho weather. Howover, thero were about twenty couples present, and all. soeinod to thoroughly enjoy themselves. The music was all that could be desired, aud was contributed by Miss Gruor and Mr. Max Fraukie (piano) uud Messrs. B. Oliver and Carter (violin), Mr. J. Titus acted as M.C., and gave gonoral satisfaction. The songs dontributed during tho evening wore as follows Miss Gruor, ' Tho old park ; ' Mr. ' IT.
