(Commercial intelligence. MELBOURNE MARKETS. FniDAY, Feb. 19, 1847. Wheat-This article has risen 8d. per bushel since our last report, and is now selling at 4s. lOd. Large quantities ara still being shipped for Britain, Oats, 3s, per bushel, new, and 3s. 6il. old. English burley, 4s., and Cape ditto, 2s. 6d. per bushel. Flour-Yesterday flour rose £2 10s. per ton, and cannot now be had under £13 per 20001bs., first quality, and £12 per ditto, seconds. This sudden and material rise is owing to a scarcity at ?the mills, occasioned by the late buyers of wheat not being disposed to sell at present prices. Hay, £4 10s. per ton. Cati le.-There has been no improvement in the quality of mt nattle brought to market this week, and the prices in consequence have given way to from 7s. 6d. to 8s. per lOOlbs. Sheep.-Fat wetherB are perfectly unsaleable to the Butchers, what have been sold during the week, have been for grazing and shipping, for the former purpose a lot was sold at 5s. and 5s. 9d.,...
