MINING NEWS. The Croesus Prospecting claim will crush 30 tons stone next week, which is expected to. equal former crusbinge--abotut 2 oz per ton, A stone at about O lb weight, talen frqm the M~ysterious claim, was exhibited during the week, and was impregnated with coarse gold throughout. The Maanx Fairy-No. 1 South Cra?3us are carting in 20 tens of stone-Their first crushing from the claila. Twelve shillings for carting and Twelve shillings for crushing will take the gilt off the gingerbread. Still the stone is expected to pay well, Mysterious Co. crushed 90 tons this week which yielded about 15 dwt per ton. There is a largo body of stone in the claim.

Perry and Others v Marlo and Others- This was a jumping case postponed from l:eHt sitting, in which plaintiffs soughtto be put in possession of a claim at Durbnm Gully. on the ground that the said claim had been taken up as a block claim, instead of an ordinary claim. Thie Warden gave his deci sion in favor of the defendants. We will publ)ish the doc:sion in full in our next issue. A number of other cases were called, but there was no appearunca for plaintiffs or defendauts. At the close of the Court Warden Ake hlrrst iutimrted that that would be his last sitting in Alexandra, and that Warden nutler would hold a Court on Tuesday next.
