There was quite a large attendance of Davis business men at the office of Attorney II. W. Fielding' tonight. Tho meeting was called to order by Col. H. II. Allen who briefly but earnestly stated the object of the meeting which was to ascertain if the people of Davis wanted to erect a cotton mill in their town. Mr. Allen said he believed the present moment was the time for notion, that the people of Davis should accept the liberal proposi lion which had been made to them. J. II.
