ROSTRUM [Newspaper Article] — Eagle Rock Sentinel — 12 April 1911

ROSTRUM The Sentinel: While we have elected to the office of school trustee a man whose honest}' and integrity we do not doubt, we have also lost a man who had proven hitnsell capable and willing to handle the affairs of the district to the best interests of the people. Every resident who understood the management of school affairs and investigated the financial situation, had commended Mr. Davis highly on the firmness with which he has stood for what he believed to be right, regardless of the criticism of the few who did not know the situation. Miss Eoy. a candidate of 1010, is quoted as advising her friends to vote f T Mr. Davis as a man who made good. A number of voters have also learned that to he "dead sure" of their man should not excuse them from going to the polls. We owe Mr. Davis our thanks for his efficient service in an office which bears no recompense but the consciousness of having done one's duty. \ Subscriber.
