Isaac Parker of Houston county relative to the resolution offered by the latter in the Convention respecting the adjudication of the disputed land titles of Texas in the U. S. Courts. The charge that Mr. Par ker by introducing this resolution desired to reserve "his dutv acres" from the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States is wholly unwarranted and incorrect Mr. Parker had been instructed by a large portion of the citizens of Houston county who are opposed to annexa- tion to endeavor to have a clause inserted in the Consti- tution requiri...

An im- pression seemed to prevail that a large majority of votes "would certainly be given for the Constitution for Annex- ation and the Ordinance; and many persons neglected tg attend the polls.
