There is no better farming land in Texas than there is in Stonewall County, We have a diversity of soil in this county. We have the red sandy land the black hog wallow land, and in the west and north parts there is a belt of shinnery land running across the county. This is the fruit and vegetable belt. It is adapted to raising all kinds fruits, Peaches Pears, Apricots, Plums and Grapes of all varieties do well. For Truck Farming this land can not be beaten in Texas, and it is fast develop- ing into a Truck Patch and Vineyard. The red and hog wallow lands in Stonewall county are adapted to the raising of Wheat and Oats, Corn, Milo Maize, Sorghum And The Best Cotton Land in the South. It will make from a quarter to half a bale of Cotton every year, and every once in a while and quite often it will make a bale of cotton per acre. In an article in the August Wo- man's Home Companion about moving pictures,'the author com- mends the use of moving pictures by the churches, and shows how developments along that line will probably come. In the course of the article appear the following paragraphs presenting Mr. Thos. A. Edison's predictions relative to moving pictures: "Mr. Edison, the inventor of the motion pictures, believes that their greatest effectiveness will be in education. He wants to make them an integral part of the public school system, and ex- periments are now being made in his home town, Orange, New Jersey. He now has operators in Africa with instructions to 'take everything from Cape Town to the mouth of the Nile, to be used in teaching geography.'
