Mobile, Jan 3—£ destructive fire oectjrred last night at 7 o'clock od Front and North Commerce streets, destroying the stores of Payne <fc Lardner, crockery dealers; the cotton rooms of Watson, Irwin & Co.; J. Shepan, liquor dealer; also damaging the stock of Gwyn, hardware dealer. Losses are as follows: Payne 6c Lard ner, 918,000, including a large cargo Of anopeoed good?; insured for $10. 000. Watson, Irwin & Co., $3000; insuied for $1000. Sbeepao, $28,000; insured for $15,000. Other losses not known. The fire was the work of an incendiary.
