i The Cunard ITueet.—The Cunard fleet, as ; at present constituted, consists of 49 vessels; having an aggregate, of 90,506 tons of gross tonnage, and 14,457 , nominal horse-power. Twenty-four vessels are in the Atlantic mail service, 12 on the Mediterranean and Havre line, 5 ply between Glasgow and B&tiast, 3 between Liverpool and Glasgow, 3 between TTaiifg-g and Bermuda, and 2 between Glas gow and Deny. The foUowing letter, giving mteresting evi dence as to the endurance of the Australian .horses, .has beenadressed to the editor of the Argusi-* StE,—I noticed your remarks in the Argvs of today on the subject of breeding and endurance of horses. Let me mention two or three instances that may be verified easily by the police records of the places "where the bosses {police troop horses) were stationed. In .1855, I think, Mr. Prioe^ P.M., aman who must haveweighed 15st., rodea chesnut horse known -as Body, from Beechworth to Mdbourne, 180 miles, in one day.
