DRIFT 8SAND ON ROADS. A FARMERS' PROPOSAL. -On Monday morning last a number of farmers, under the leadership --of Messrs. J. and D. and A. Chisholm, Wilkinson, F. E. H. Glenton, O. Pen man and J. H. Louttit, formed a work ing bee for the purpose of removing a large quantity of sand oni a road in the Goschen district about six'miles from Swan Hill. In addition to the horse teams engaged a number of-axe. men were on the scene, and removed the timber which would have other wise obstructed the work. The position of the road was a very fair sample of the very bad effecta of the drift of sand from. fallow paddocks, as the deposit -was so deep that no traffic has been possible bn the rdad forit: months.
