THE PEARL OF THE RICHMOND. Kyogia and District. Their Past, Present, and Future. THE TOWNSHIP OF KYOGLE. [Newspaper Article] — The Richmond River Express and Casino Kyogle Advertiser — 24 March 1905

THE PEARL OF THE RICHMOND. Kyogle and District. Their Past, Present, and Future. [By Our Sfgcial.] ?THE TOWNSHIP OF KYOGLE. 'Nestling at the base and among the spurs of a picturesque wooded hill, known as Fnirymount, which rises to an altitude of about 1000 feet, stands tho township of Kyoglo, one side of which is laved by a rippling reach of the Upper Rich'nond. What first strikes tho visitor to this charming .spot— fur it is indeed charming — is that, thoi-e is nothing shabby or makeshift about the town or the build ings of which it is constituted. In this respect it is in marked contrast with those aggregations of structures which, like baneful excrescences and regardless of everything in the way of beauty, arise as the result of. some ephemeral gold rush. Kyogle town has come to stay, and daily it can be seen growing, for additional and substantial buildings are rising in all directions. When one considers limbless than four years ago, whcro. tho txiwimhip now stands were tho ho...
