f- a. ADDITIONAL LOCAL. CHURCH UNION. Carrizozo is meeting some prob lems on her way, and this is one of them: Iti the very beginning of tbe town, it was recognized that to multiply churches in a village would be to divide religion and most likely to destroy real spiritual power. Other small towns have tried various plans, with rather indifferent success. Practically, Carrizozo put the proposition up to the highest bid der. The Methodist church bid 2,2000.00 for church and parson age, with the probability of mak ing it $2,700.00. This was from Methodism outside of Carrizozo. In addition to this, as near as possible, all denominations to be represented on thcJJoardof Stew ards, who are really the govern ing power of the local church. That, too, without in any way severing their connection with their own church. This board, for the new con ference year, was elected last Monday night, and is as follows: Frank J. Sager, A. W. Adams, Samuel Miller, Clarence Spence, Charles L. Schreck, W....
