The following recipe by the. famous Mrs. Mary J. Lincoln, is cor nended to those who delight in this delicacy: Mix two cups flour, one-half level teaspoon salt, one level teaspoon soda, one level tablespoon ginger; stir in one cup molasses, two tablespoons softened Cottolene and one-half cup boiling water. Bake in shallow pan. If for des sert, bake in layers. Fill with whipped cream, flavored with lemon. The little ones can eat this freely.
