Rent Ceilings Discussed By H. P. Realty Men [Newspaper Article] — Highland Park Post-Dispatch — 14 May 1942

Rent Ceilings Discussed By H. P. Realty Men (Continued from Page 1) Obviously, an Individual level cannot be determined for each separate property, but it will rather be for large groups according to size and type of accommodations. As rents in this area are now less than in many other sections of the city it is Unlikely that they would exceed any ceiling established for Los Angeles generally. As to the broader effect of the price ceiling upon real estate activity, the concensus of opinion among those present was that it would result in increased sales. A more stable market will develop in which the normal forces creating real estate activity arising...

Beets, carrots, endive, white onions, radishes, melons, cucumbers, parsley, peppers, cabbage, beans, hubbard, banana and zucchini squash—all are represented In the plantingsf rothe reception center tables. Directing the gardening project for Clayton Twiggs, Reception Center manager, is John R. Garrison, administration staff member.
