Walpeup shire council meets at Murrayville to-morrow (Thursday) week, when the business is likely to be important. Regarding the paragraph in last issue stating that an advance of 3s pr bushel is to be made, a slight modification has since been re ceived. The advance will be in full on all clean wheat, but where dockages are made for faults, such dockage will be deducted from the first advance. Farmers should note this carefully and see that all wheat carted is f.a.q. As those who have already delivered lots know, great care is being taken in sampling, and dockages are stringent-too much so in many instances. You simply can's afford to over look any of the ...

When it was announced in the MAIL of 9th inst. that a first divi dend of 3! oer bushel was to be paid on this year's wheat, many readers doubtei the statement, bh cause it had not appeared in the big press. A. week later the metropo litan press confirmed our announce ment, and simultaneous!y we stated the 3! would be less any dockage for faulty wheat. Up to time of writing, the big press has not con tainedl this intimation, but it is so all the same. When you read it in the MAIL it is SO, and most of our readers appreciate the fact.
