A .special meeting was held to deal with the matter of the Nambour Sewer and Drainage. The State Treasurer wrote advising thai if satisfactory plans and sperifl cations were submitted, and the pro ^is!ons of the Local Authorities' Act relating to loans compiled with, a loan not exceeding £1000 would be granted to defray the cost of the drainage and sewerage works. The necessary re solution for app ication was formally moved, seconded and carried. NORTH BRISBANE v. NAMBOUR. By the mall train on Saturday even Ing last the North Brisbane First Grade junior team travelled to Nam bour, and tried conclusions with the Nambour team on Sunday at the Show Ground.. The visitors were met by Messrs. W. Milliner and N. Brake, and other members of the Nambour A. prade team. North Brisbane won the Dr. Gray Cup In the City last season, as well as the premiership. Their play revealed a very compact team, and the members good sports. The rrsult of the trial proved Nambour victor* by 12 to 5. The successful players to cross th-» line for Nambour were V. and C. Leaving Sydney on March 7 In, the Argylshire arrived at Hobart on the following Friday. Here a consignment or 11,000 acses of ap ples were loaded. Being fully 20 years since I last saw this city every thing seemed changed. However we had a good tour round, met many mem bers of the Salvation Army, and gen erally had a good time. The orchards or apples, pears etc., looked splendid and everyone seemed to be prosper ous. We were also shown over the famous KL factory.
