NORTHERN TERRITORY LABOUR CONDITIONS Canberra Friday in the House of Rpresentatives Mr H. G. Nelson read to the House a telegram he had received from the Northern Territory stating that the sleepergetters were exploiting large numbers of Aborigines, in many in- stances on task work; on Govt, con- tracts, where white labour should be employed. Unemployment was rife and the whites resented being com- pelled to seek relief work while this exploitation was going on. The Min- ister for Home and Territories Mr Marr, promised to have enquiries made.
